Users can register their vehicle license plates (either via image or text), discover others nearby, and engage in moderated chat. A robust admin portal supports plate verification, user flagging, and suspension management to ensure safe and respectful interactions. The system is reinforced with a fully responsive marketing site to promote the app and onboard users. Developed using iOS 8 technologies, .NET backend, and SQL Server for data persistence, the project demonstrates a deep focus on user experience, scalability, and trust-building. Honker successfully blends automotive and social networking domains, creating a novel space for communication on the move.
